The Women’s Bureau completed an initial Strategic Planning summit in January of 2013. This process was an insightful and powerful push for positive change in our organization. We are proud to say that Leadership, Bureau Staff and the Board of Directors participated in outlining goals for our organization. We feel that the following goals strengthened our mission: Advancing women through advocacy, education and economic empowerment.
1. Provide services that meet the critical needs and promotes the economic empowerment of women.
2. Increase educational opportunities about women’s issues for all Women’s Bureau constituents.
3. Enhance the structure and operations of the Women’s Bureau board of directors.
4. Increase public awareness of the Women’s Bureau and its mission.
5. Develop new revenue sources through a comprehensive development program.
6. Enhance the organization’s ability to achieve results by building internal capacity.
